Suit Cards & the Elements
Minor arcana, suit or pip cards
Whereas the major arcana cards are concerned with archetypes and esoteric truths encountered as one progresses through the journey of life, the minor arcana, or suit cards, deal with more of the everyday aspects of life.
Fire, Water, Air, Earth & Ether
The five suits of THe Fifth Tarot correspond to the five elements. All man-made objects and objects of weaponry found in traditional decks have been replaced with things found in nature.
The element of fire is represented in teh Fire suit; the element of water is represented by Shells; air corresponds to the Feathers suit; earth is depicted wiht Sones; and the fifth element, ether, is represented by the Lotus.
In the book that accompanies the deck, there is an explantion of the symbolism for each card, a divinatory meaning that offers insight into the events surrounding the inquiry and a section with practical Applications for working with the appropriate energies for whatever situation is occurring at that time.
The fifth suit and the fifth element: Lotus/Ether
The suit of lotus represents the element ether. Ether is the connective force, the prana or chi, without which there is no life. The lotus is a symbol of our divine potential and our inner truth. The energy of the Lotus cards bring us to our soul essence. Through an expanded sense of awareness we come to an understanding of our true Self.
The Lotus suit brings forth the higher vibrational gifts that are emerging in the collective consciousness as we dream the fifth world into being.
